ProbeFix Dynamic T is specifically designed to support the linear array Telemed probe with the larger field of view (6 cm). This T-version is suitable for clinical and research musculoskeletal applications. Additionally, this probe fixation tool offers a greater degree of freedom and offers the possibility to attach visual markers to enable optical tracking of the device in space. The silicone feet can be exchanged easily to make the tool fit different body types.

simultaneous
Simultaneous scanning with two transducers
Stacks Image 701
How it works?

If two identical transducers are connected to the ArtUs EXT-2H scanner, Echo Wave II software will prompt you to choose one of three options:

  • 1-st transducer scanning (live ultrasound stream coming from 1-st port)
  • 2-nd transducer scanning (live ultrasound stream coming from 2-nd port)
  • dual-scan mode (simultaneous scanning of two transducers, two live streams - each stream comes from its own transducer)

FPS performance examples, configuration:

  • ArtUs EXT-2H scanner
  • LF9-5N60-A3 transducer x 2 pcs
  • Parallel beamforming mode

Input / Output synchronisation (optional feature)
Ultrasound research may require the synchronization of ultrasound machines and other equipment. Telemed developed optional modules to equip ArtUs EXT-1H/2H beamformer with such feature. Signals description:
Stacks Image 698

  • Ultrasound Line output - at the falling edge system starts acquiring ultrasound data from tissue for one ultrasound line
  • Ultrasound Frame output - at the falling edge system starts acquiring ultrasound data from tissue for one ultrasound frame
  • Ultrasound Line input - system starts acquiring ultrasound data from tissue for one ultrasound line approximately in 20 us after the rising edge of the signal
  • Ultrasound Frame input - system starts acquiring ultrasound data from tissue for one ultrasound frame approximately in 20 us after rising edge of the signal
  • ScanStart output - system generates logic level "0" in Freeze mode and logic level "1" in scan mode
  • ScanStart input - system starts scan (from new frame) when logic level "1" and stops scan when logic level "0"
See more details here.
Strain Elastography mode (optional feature)
Stacks Image 689
TELEMED scanner Artus optionally could be equipped with real-time strain elastography imaging mode. The elastography mode is useful for the assessment of tissue strain which correlates with the stiffness of tissue. Strain elastography is informative for the diagnostics of breast masses, thyroid pathologies, and other applications. The mode is supported by implemented specific measurements such as strain ratio, histogram analysis, E/B ratio, and quality indicator for obtaining reliable images for the measurements.
Dedicated for research purposes.
Access to beamformer RF data (optional feature)
Stacks Image 692
Majority of the commercial ultrasound machines are closed for the researchers and do not provide access to raw RF signals. These signals carry valuable information about acoustic wave and tissue interactions and it could be employed fo the developments of new diagnostic methods. TELEMED offers research tools for scientific engineers working in biomedical ultrasound field which allows to analyze beamformer RF data acquired by the TELEMED ultrasound scanners ArtUs EXT-1H or ArtUs EXT-2H.
